WARDOGS on PS5 & Xbox: The 2028 Console Window Explained
Updated 2026-09-25
The quick answer
WARDOGS is not on PS5 or Xbox yet. The developers have officially confirmed console versions are targeted for 2028. Until then the game is PC-exclusive on Steam ($39.99).
What is officially confirmed
From the developer FAQ thread on Steam:
- Console release window: 2028
- The game is built as a 100-player, three-faction MMO — console lobbies and crossplay details are not yet announced
- Linux/Proton is officially unsupported in the meantime (so no Steam Deck workaround either — details on the Linux page)
Why the long gap
WARDOGS launched into Early Access with seasonal wipes and heavy balance iteration — the 2026-09-25 full wipe that opened Season 1 is the first of several. A 2028 console target suggests the developers want progression and netcode settled before shipping to PlayStation and Xbox.
