WARDOGS Best Settings & FPS: What Is Actually Confirmed

Updated 2026-09-25

On this page

WARDOGS is an Early Access MMO with 100 players and vehicles — performance tuning matters, and misinformation spreads fast. This page only lists what is confirmed: known engine-level issues from the community, and safe general advice. We do not publish invented "best settings" tables.

The quick answer

Two settings facts are confirmed: WARDOGS launched without DLSS support (players have a dedicated request thread), and there is a known bug where settings are not saving between sessions. Everything else on this page is general guidance, clearly marked as such.

Safe performance guidance (general, not game-specific datamining)

These are standard, reversible steps players discuss for large-scale games like this — treat them as starting points, not verified WARDOGS config values:

  • Lower shadows and crowd/entity density first — 100-player battles are CPU- and draw-call-heavy.
  • Cap your framerate if you see Kernel-Power 41 reboots; uncapped load can expose PSU/driver instability (that thread's leading theory).
  • Re-check your settings after every session until the settings-persistence bug is fixed.
  • If you are on Linux or Steam Deck: the game is officially unsupported there — see Linux/Proton status.

Exact per-setting FPS impacts are not yet confirmed by the community; when someone publishes reproducible benchmarks, we will link them here.
